  • Google uses Drake's 'Texts Go Green' track to troll Apple

Dumb.  Texting works fine between iPhone and Android.  In my circles, few people have Android.  It doesn’t matter much either way.

Nice now put it in a larger enclosure and allow it to breathe a just little.
With these benchmarks it doesn't need a larger enclosure with multiple fans allowing it to be overclocked. I actually don't believe Apple's SoCs would benefit that much from overclocking. They've been designed for much lower amperage. Other ARM chips are designed for overclocking, which ends up messing everything up and requiring way too much amperage, like two 120V/20A outlets.
What system requires that? I’ve had two 1500 W electric heaters run on outlet like that.

  • Apple's 2023 CarPlay is an Apple Car preview - and is scaring Detroit

I definitely agree it’s going to take a long time to come in to common usage. Even manufacturers who have embraced it, like Kia, are inconsistent with the implementation. My stepmother‘s 2020 K5 has wireless CarPlay. My 2019 optima has wired CarPlay. And my decked out, 2022 Kia carnival has wired but not wireless CarPlay. That thing is like a spaceship …and it still doesn’t support it.

Speaking of electric vehicles, we are nowhere near ready from an infrastructure standpoint. We are probably decades away from it. There’s not the generation and recharging capacity to replace the gasoline fleet yet.

  • Meta's dual-camera Apple Watch competitor has been shelved before release

Facebook (I refuse to call it the other name) is a dying platform and company.  This doesn’t surprise me.

  • Tim Cook says return to office work plan is 'the mother of all experiments'

It's an experiment to come back to work? There is absolutely no health reason to do it.  Covid is endemic and not the plague we were all told it was.  The interventions clearly did nothing to stop it, from social distancing to masks to stay-at-home orders.  The virus does what it does.  We have vaccines, therapeutics, and strains that are far less deadly than the original.  For 90% of all people, Covid is a cold.  It's 99% or more of working-age people.   The reasons people are pushing for remote work have nothing to do with Covid.  It's about social engineering and remaking our society.  It's about "fighting climate change" and some bizarre Star Trek-like fantasy where money doesn't exist.
