  • Apple may not be making a Smart Ring right now after all

Whenever I see rings vs watches I also see people that love their Apple Watch but don't want to wear it to  sleep in. I'm sure there would be some people that would forgo the watch for the ring but most I think would buy both. I'm no marketing guy but it seems like a win win to me.

  • Compared: Mac Studio versus Mac Pro

You can debate the power of the M1 Studios to the Mac Pros all day but there's one absolute and that's power per $. The Studios are crushing it in that category.

Y'all need to get in line behind me as I'll be ordering the "mini whatever" when it becomes available!!
    Finally!!!
I'm good with that. I'll get in line right behind you. My 2014 iMac 5K is long in the tooth but it still ain't too bad.

  • Apple engineers partner with Cloudflare to improve internet privacy

Interesting since last week 1.1.1.1 stopped working on many people’s iPhones. Reviews in the App Store show many recent 1 star reviews, various iPhone models, on iOS 14.
It is interesting. I use CloudFlare's DNS on my router and use a PiHole for the DNS on individual devices and haven't noticed anything. Works like it always had.

  • Apple's AirPods 2 -- One month later

I have the new version of the AirPods and they are my first pair. Overall, they are good as long as the environment around you is relatively quiet and/or what you're listening to is of a low volume (for example, some classical music- which I listen to a lot). Using them in my gym, I often will hear the music from the gym's PA system over what's playing on my iPhone. My old noise cancelling earphones that were able to block even the noise of a NYC subway are still in my daypack because the subway just laughs at AirPods. So I like my AirPods but really wish that noise cancellation was a feature. I really didn't feel like waiting another eight or nine months for the chance that AirPod 3 would come out with that feature.
You might want to check out on PowerBeat Pro. It has NC.
Actually I don’t think the Pro’s have true NC. They just seal in the ear locking out much of the ambient noise.
