  • Apple in talks to license Google Gemini AI for iPhones

I hope for this to never happen. Gemini is involved in several deviant projects including the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

  • Apple Vision Pro will be the platform for the killer VR app, not Meta

Movies and music in the coming years will be generated on demand. The tech is here, hopefully they can pull it off for immersive 3D as well.
One thing the Vision Pro does better than 3D glasses is it allows you to stand up, look around and move. I bet future movies will have characters react to your behavior.

  • New class-action lawsuit says you pay too much for iCloud

I wonder what Hagens-Berman‘a profit margins are. I also wonder if other companies like Google and Microsoft get sued as often as Apple or if these are some sort of attacks on Apple.
Having said that, I find Apple’s $3 for 200GB to be a great deal. It manages storage capacity extremely well, never felt like I was tight on storage, and it backs up my laptop, iPhone, iPad, security footage, and I’ve been storing stuff since Mac.com days.

  • Apple will reap the rewards of the cancelled Apple Car project for decades

All data points at Apple never wanting to manufacture a car, only to design it and have someone manufacture it. Which is why they were in talks with KIA but never entertained buying Tesla when it was struggling with the Model 3. If they really wanted to buy a factory today, it would've definitely been Rivian.
Maybe Apple wanted to make technology for a factory that makes large, complicated things. A car would be a good starting place. Don't make a car - make the technology to make a car...and sell that to Kia, Tesla, Rivian.
Apple seems to focus on end user products that improve users' lives. It would be out of character to work on industry tech that don't have anything to do with any of their commercial products. Having said that I am sure they're focused on improving CarPlay to take over the dashboard and possibly other car controls like cruise control, AC, door locks, gas/charging alerts, lane assist, autonomous features etc

  • After years of research, an Apple smart ring may be imminent

I actually believe it's inevitable for the Vision Pro. Accurate hand tracking, especially for gaming, lower lag time, and a scroll wheel? You wouldn't need to waive your arms as much to navigate a UI, and it sure beats bulky hand controls for gaming.
