  • Amazon glitch removes Apple Card as payment method [u]

Considering that you only earn 1% with purchases at Amazon using your Apple Card, why would you even bother? I use my Apple Card only with Apple Pay... I've never even physically used the actual card or CC number in the over year I've had it. And for Amazon purchases, I use the my Amazon card for 5% back.

  • Apple, Google team on 'contact tracing' smartphone software to combat spread of COVID-19

Sheesh, that didn't take long. Can't we all just drop the cynicism for just ONE day and appreciate that these two are working together for the common good? I mean, damn!

  • General consumer interest in Apple Card is 'remarkably high,' says survey

Seems like a mediocre card with regards to benefits (IMHO). I've got an Uber VISA that gives me:

    1% on all purchases
2% on all online purchase (including Apple)
    3% on travel/hotels
    4% on restaurants

I don't really care about the "prestige" factor; I care about what I'm getting out of it.

  • Apple Card: no multi-user support, no penalty rates, foreign transactions, more

I don’t know if it’s just me....But I’ve never been this excited for a credit card before
Why? It’s a middle of the road type of card. I can literally beat the rewards with every purchase I make with my other cards. It’s ok for a general card but not the best by any stretch.
Yeah, not seeing much of a benefit over my go-to rewards card: my Uber rewards card

    No annual fee
$50 in annual credit for digital services (Apple Music, Netflix, Spotify, etc)
    1% back on everything
    2% on all online purchases
    3% back on travel/hotels
    4% back on restaurants
    No reward caps

I never carry a balance so I rack up with this card.

  • Apple's apology for small amount of 2018 MacBook Pro keyboard failures still isn't enough

Wow, what a critical and hard-hitting piece of journalism.

What I got from that is a small percentage of people who have recent MacBooks end up with keyboard problems, and those users should "go get it fixed."

Oh, and also, the small percentage of users who had problems with keyboards before 2016 was (perhaps) half the size.

And, for some reason Apple should "apologize" for not creating perfect, faultless devices.

Shrug.  I have a 2016 MacBook Pro and I love it and am in the "large percentage" of users without a problem.
I had my 2016 15-inch MBP's entire top case replaced last year because of one key failing. I haven't had any problems since, but I use my notebook hooked up to a bluetooth Apple keyboard 75% of the time.
