  • Apple's macOS Ventura beta review: great new features, but some concerns

One thing I am curious about is if there have been improvements made to Maps. I use the maps app intensely, mostly to create exhibits for reports in PDF. Through Catalina, the Maps app generated nice PDFs of the maps. They were very close to what was seen on screen, had a thin black border and very little margin. With the release of Monterey, the application feels wholly unfinished. The printouts look amateurish, with thick margins and no border. Additionally, what is seen on screen is very different from what actually prints when a PDF is created. It really sucks because up through and including Catalina, things worked great.
