Apple, other smartphone builders taking NAND that Nintendo needs for Switch production
I do not understand Nintendo. Their products seem to be hard to buy for years after release. Once or twice for 6 months or so is just the market catching them by surprise. This consistent shortage over time of so many products leads me to believe it's either some strategy (that I don't get) or else really, really bad execution. I tend to think the later, but I guess I'm not in their shoes, so I don't know. -
Apple drops to 5th place in LaptopMag's brand rankings after leading for multiple years
Now I'm going to score two spouses using the same method:
Spouse 1:
Loving 10/10
Supportive 10/10Willingness to take out the garbage when full 2/10
Car knowledge 4/10
Intelligence 10/10
Thriftyness 6/10
Overall 7/10
Spouse 2:
Loving 3/10
Supportive 3/10Willingness to take out the garbage when full 10/10
Car knowledge 10/10
Intelligence 9/10
Thriftyness 10/10
Overall 7.5/10
So I guess that most people would prefer the second spouse because even though he or she doesn't love you or support you, the other items make up for it. (S/he hates me and the kids, but at least s/he takes out the garbage and doesn't waste money.)
TLDR: This way of looking at the world is stupid. -
CIA responds to 'Vault 7' hack leak, WikiLeaks claims only 1% of what it holds was publish...

so? China can do what it likes in its own country. It's the fact that the USA feels it has a god given right to spy on and police the entire world. Even so called friendly countries; UK, Germany etc.

Apple suspends sales of LG's UltraFine 5K monitor over hardware issues
I hope Apple views this as a failed experiment.
I bought mine, and I love the screen, but everything else is problem after problem.
I move the cord at all, and the image cuts out.
The cords attached to the monitor sometimes don't work until I plug and unplug them.
My Macbook Pro randomly shuts down when connecting or disconnecting if I use clamshell mode.
I don't have mine by a router, but that's a future potential problem, too.
