The airpods are a good product to shows what Apple can do when you stay in the ecosystem. Switching between the phone and the computer is simple, and the watch makes a perfect control device for volume, tracks, etc. I love mine.

The funny thing is that we know what works in healthcare: don't eat any processed foods and get exercise every day. People just don't do it.

It's like a bunch of students are trying to figure out how to pass an exam, but they only read comic books and never go to class.

I think this is poorly informed speculation. Intel's chips that allow 32 GB and work in the MBP's power envelope will not be available in 2017, at least not according to their roadmap. Based on Intel's roadmap and recent performance, I can only hope they might be available in 2018.

Edit: Apparently, they think Apple is going to design a special portable with desktop performance. I also doubt this, but at least it's possible.

Whatever. He left for a better, more exciting job. It's clearly a huge promotion, likely a better salary, and a chance to dramatically influence the next big technological change. Who wouldn't make the switch he made, given the opportunity? 

The real question is who could recommend Consumer Reports?

I love the idea of an independent body that fairly evaluates products, but their methods lead to wrong results as often as right ones. I have a 15" MBP with Touch Bar, and I can tell you there is absolutely no way it ever lasted 19 hours web browsing with the screen on. It lasts me a little more than what Apple says if I'm web browsing and about 5-6 hours if I'm doing work.
