  • Factory-reset iPhone impedes Philadelphia 76ers Twitter scandal investigation

A story that captivated the sports world in recent weeks culminated Thursday in the resignation of a professional basketball team's top executive, the confirmation that the executive's wife was responsible for running a series of anonymous Twitter accounts, and the revelation that the wife had factory-reset her iPhone prior to handing it over to a law firm hired to investigate the matter.
I guess that’s why this is the first I’m hearing of it...

I feel like there’s still a bunch of info they could potentially retrieve even after a factory-reset.  If they wanted to, that is.  I supposed the resignation is likely good enough.
Considering many backups are done via iCloud, it wouldn't take much to subpoena apple for a backup copy and get the details that way.

  • Flaws in Apple's iMac Pro VESA mount fueling new episode of repair anxiety [u]

So one (1) case of this happening (to an apple-pouty-face video blogger no less) is now cause for "concern", blowing it, an epidemic, etc... Welcome to the internet generation.
"Pouty-face"?  WTF?  I'm surprised that such a remark is coming from you.

It's 100% a valid case.  A problem always starts with one person.  If you watched the video, the blogger did state that when he went on an Apple forum, there were other VESA users that experienced similar problems with broken screws.

I deal with delicate screws in other areas - my motorcycles use aluminum screws - and it's nerve-racking on how delicate those things are.  This is an area where I think Apple really needs to fess up and own the problem.  The way they treated the customer while his iMP was in the shop also was inexcusable.

  • Morgan Stanley bullish on Apple services, ups AAPL price target to $214

These analysts know nothing. They pull these predictions out from where the sun don't shine.

All they are doing is manipulating the market. Apple is one of the easiest stocks to do it to because they are so profitable.
Actually, it's so easy to manipulate because of the extreme secrecy the company operates in.  Wall Street has zero clue what they're doing, that they have to guess (or manipulate).  Since Apple never confirms or denies anything, Wall Street (and the media) can pretty much take any rumor and run with it.

Apple is its own worst enemy.  I think it's necessary to remain so secretive, lest the Samsungs of the world will get wind and try to beat them to the market.

Who really cares how good a speaker sounds if it is hard to set up and looks ugly?
    Uh... I do.
I would think (hope) Consumer Reports would report that the speaker sounds great, but it is a royal pain in the backside to set up.  That would be enough for everyone to make their choice, or at the very least be minimally surprised.

If they could afford iPhone, they would buy iPhone. Ferrari will never beat market share, bit everybody would drive one of they could. Same with Tiffany. Same with iPhone.
