iPhone 14 demand will be much higher than iPhone 13 in China, Kuo says
I was hoping to get another year out of my XS Max, but the battery isn’t that great anymore and now the screen has a hardware fault with a bright green line running down the side.
I guess that means I’ll be getting the iPhone 14, hopefully the rumours of a price gouging increase won’t materialise.
Such a shame the notch is still with us 5 years later, I really had hoped they’d have found a way to get rid of that by now. -
UK won't copy EU USB-C common charger mandate
chelin said:Who cares? The UK is how large of a market? Compared to the 450 million people in EU, 330 million in the USA and the billions in China and India. The UK is irrelevant..
The U.K. is one of Apple’s most consistent and best markets with healthy market shares of all of their major product categories.
Nearly half of all phones sold here are iPhones, the Mac Market share here is estimated at 27%, etc.
Next time try and make an informed comment….. -
Apple fails bid to shut down refiled Cydia antitrust lawsuit

If it wasn’t for Cydia most things that make the iPhone easy to navigate wouldn’t exist. Apple really has stifled on software innovation but Cydia gave us the things we always wanted and needed for navigation. I hope Cydia wins because Apple would give us more if what we need to make the iPhone easier to use because of this.
I used to Jailbreak my iPhone and use Cydia to pay to add this type of functionality.I’m not sure I’d bother jailbreaking an iPhone anymore, but back in the day the Cydia App Store was a fantastic way to increase the functionality of your phone. -

Everything we know about the next HomePod
I love my two original HomePods, use them every day.
Biggest update I want to see is for Siri to not be stuck using the Internet to run basic commands. The amount of times I ask Siri to do something basic like to set a timer or switch off a light just for it to come back with some variation of “Hmmm, this is taking too long because I have to check with head office before I set your poxy fucking timer” is a real pain in the arse!
I think there is some power saving feature going on because I find that after a couple of hours it goes through this brain fart stage of just timing out on whatever you ask it to do and then 30 seconds later it’s fine again. I wish I could turn off that feature, the kids crappy Amazon Echos never have this problem.
