Phil Schiller says no App Store policy changes coming after 'Hey' drama
elijahg said:bulk001 said:Schiller would seem to be misinformed.Hopefully his ass can innovate faster MBP’s that can compete with high end PC’s in terms of raw processing speed. Has AI done a real review of the new graphics card option vs say a Razor Blade (not talking about like that odd comparison they did where I am not sure they even had a RB 17”)?

@sergioz You ever used Basecamp? Seems like you are talking out of your a$$ about fake reviews, publicity stunts and the like as they are a legitimate company that offers a useful product. I don’t believe I would pay $99 for an email client but used Basecamp for years. -

Hey should allow sign up to the free trial through the app, then send the user an email to subscribe on the website a few days before the trial is up.You aren't required to pay $99.00 up front to use Gmail either... That changes the comparison a bit..Users must first pay a $99 fee on the Hey website, a subscription that is not offered in-app. -
Security researchers warn of scam VPN apps on iOS
The thumbnail image on the main page STILL shows NordVPN’s logo even thought several people have pointed out the fact that it does not involve them! Freaked me out as I use VordVPN 24/7 on all my devices. Maybe less blah blah blah about Dear ... and more focus on getting your content accurate first?

Apple unveils new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Magic Keyboard
DAalseth said:harry wild said:So...they just swapped out the keyboard, LED screen and the CPU and memory! It probably took Apple engineer in charge about 1/2 hour to do and have it go to quality control. Will Apple give us a gold MacBook Pro color?
In this case the updated MBP does not use the same keyboard and screen as the 16". They had to be designed from scratch for the smaller chassis. Then they were tested and then redesigned and retested to make sure they worked properly. As far as the CPU, that likely at least required fresh firmware, if not board level changes, either of which would have had to be designed, tested, adjusted to fix any unexpected problems, adjusted again, and so on. Even minor changes are a hell of a lot of work by a team that put in a lot of hours to make it work right. In some ways it's harder to update an existing product than it is to blue sky design a new product without any legacy constraints.
