As we won’t take on big tech here in the U.S. it is good to see that the EU has taken the lead to do so. As I do with my computer, I should have full control to download applications to my phone without mother hen Cook. Like any business, it is to protect their revenue stream from selling the apps from their store. I am guessing if it was Google or Meta or Microsoft, many here would be in full support of her actions but feel the need to defend the poor struggling startup, Apple, running out of someone’s garage and is just so unfairly being crushed by the EU. 

Nostalgia aside, it just isn’t that good anymore. Been using it the past few years and it is a pain. Take the discount and move on! 

“There is also the concern that not every feature of Apple Intelligence will be available in the fall.” Who is concerned about this? And if you are, why? It is ready when it’s ready. 

Used the Speed Limit today. A passenger checked the speed as I was driving and it is pretty spot on. And of course they have a disclaimer because there is some obscure example out there that you will all  breathlessly rush to print when it is inaccurate: “man riding in Himalayas dies going one mile faster than Google maps said” type headlines on every Apple site. Not sure why one needs the feature as the driver should be watching the speedometer but a god send for backseat drivers! 

Imagine that, antisemites coming out to attack Stewart. Hats off to those who have called it out here. That said, comparing someone to say, Fran Lebowitz, is hardly an insult. I wish I could accomplish a hundredth this what she has. Steward is more relevant now than he has ever been.
