  • Apple's 'Crush' iPad Pro ad sparks intense backlash from creatives

I found it a bit of a shock but thought it was excellent. I don’t like pianos getting crushed (unless it was CGI or so out of tune and broken it couldn’t be sensibly repaired) the the idea that it meant that the iPad could REPLACE all these things never crossed my mind. I saw it as the iPad being a tool that contained many of the creative possibilities of all the things that “went into making it”.

The face at the end was slightly “eewww” but funny too.

The amount of (perfectly good) food thrown away every day is FAR more of a real problem, so get some perspective I’d say.

  • Browser developers gripe about Apple promoting them in the EU

    The EU is terrible.

They regulate everything out to oblivion.

    Really bad =/
Ha! Come and try living in the UK where we’ve lost freedom of movement, the right to live, and work and stay in other EU countries without much thought. We’ve got tariffs, queues, delays, next to no customs checks so people can send any old kind of rubbish here, duplication of regulations, reduced or no access to useful EU wide information that we had before. The list goes on and on and on.

I’d be back in the regulated EU in a heartbeat if I could.

  • New iPhone comparison page tells you why you need to upgrade

When I compare my 12 mini, the 15's specs that count (for me) are width and length.  And the 15 doesn't come close.
    Another one here.

I bought the mini because I have no wish at all to have some clunking great phone on me when the mini is a perfect size for the kind of phone I want. It may get to the point where I’m “forced” to upgrade but it will be a sad day. I might find a 2nd hand 13 mini instead - though I don’t think they came in the lovely pale green of my 12. Hey ho.

  • EU antitrust chief remarks about $2 billion Apple Music fine ignores Spotify dominance

The EU is becoming a hell hole, they are punishing the winners.

Apple won and now they want their share.
You do know that there is more to the EU than legislation around Apple’s market share and App Store, don’t you?

  • Apple walks away empty handed at the Oscars

Watched Dune at the IMAX recently and it blew the socks off watching it at home with AirPods Pro in every possible way except having to travel and pay to get a ticket!
