Oppo Find N5 foldable phone review: Apple's now on notice
Sibeheng said:9secondkox2 said:yeah... I don't think apple's goalposts are what other's goals are. Apple isn't worried about getting it to be thin, etc. Apple isn't looking to solve the problems with someone else's product.
Apple wants it to have a reason to exist beyond... "Dude, it folds."
When it makes sense for the category and when It is every bit as reliable as the current, solid bar iPhone, and when it adds something worthwhile to the phone, Apple will release such a thing.
Currently, Apple hasn't seen the need ro benefit. I have to agree.
That's not to say next year won't be a different story. Perhaps it will. But when Apple actually goes in that direction, it will be don't in such a way as to be plain common sense. it could be that Appel has an entirely different idea in mind than another flip phone with a flexible screen.
Being an iPhone user for freakin' 18 years, this is the first time I ditch iPhone 15 Pro Max for Oppo Find N5. It's a game changer dude. It is as thin as the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Pick one up and you'll feel that long lost feeling again. -

Why iPhone mirroring and Mac Live Activities aren't coming to the EU
This “corrupt EU” sounds like something straight from the corrupt USA playbook where almost every day seems to highlight some new corrupt/ illegal and/or scam activity from the White House. So, less of this rubbish thanks.
just to be picky that the article title refers to “Europeans” not getting this which is not correct, it applies to Europeans living in EU member countries. Sadly, my country of the UK is no longer a member, though this is the only benefit of Brexit I’ve found to date. -
Craig Federighi says macOS would ruin what makes the iPad special
anonymouse said:kiltedgreen said:mfryd said:However, this is not a reason to prohibit running Mac OSX on an iPad. Users should have a choice as to which OS they run.I have nothing against the iPad OS. It's a great solution for many (but not all) users. Why not allow users to choose which OS they are running?
The iPad OS can be the default, but please allow power users to install OSX. iPad apps already work inside of Mac OSX, so no functionality is lost.
An iPad with an M4 processor, 16GB RAM, 2TB SSD, Thunderbolt 3, and a Magic Keyboard Folio (Keyboard and trackpad) would make a damn fine portable Mac. -
