Google is violating Apple's iPhone app privacy rules the same way Facebook did [u: disable...
wood1208 said:Apple, you are business and while holding privacy Ethics torch, at the end of day you are a business to make money for shareholders and employees. Stop this die-hard privacy triumph. Most people outside USA(may be some Europeans) don't even care privacy long as you sell your products and services cheap. Sorry, Money talks, walks, and everything else for most people in world...How many people on Apple products related websites like Apple-insider,9to5Mac,MacRumers,etc come and say give me privacy at any cost ? Most say, Apple products are expensive even thought they like to own. -
Editorial: Apple note sends media pundits into a fit of histrionic gibberish
Have Android promoters never set foot in a store? Do they think nobody buys jeans anymore just because there isn't any apparent technical innovation occurring in pants-making? Do they imagine that nobody buys TVs anymore because everyone must already have one by now? Do they wonder why people buy shirts that cost more than the component fabric that occurs on the garment's bill of sale? What is it about Apple that turns the most mundane discussion of financials into an illogical tirade of hyperbolic derangement?Bingo!

Apple's guidance correction in China would be great news from Samsung
I have tried using an iPad Pro for work related things. I am an information technology worker and only wanted it for email and some light stuff so I would not need a laptop in meetings. The lack of a mouse driven interface is a killer. The A series would be PERFECT for this if I was allowed to use a mouse. The DeX technology is half-baked on Samsung tablets and phones but it at least shows an effort to do something. Apple would crush Samsung's effort and truly open the iPad up as a capable work device if they tried something like this. Doesn't need to be MacOS, just something where I can use a mouse to navigate and minimize apps. Another sign of playing it slow and steady for no real reason.
Apple has never been into releasing something “half-baked” just to show that they are “doing something”.
Also, if you “only wanted it for email and some light stuff”, what on Earth are you trying to do that the iPad does not support? -
Should you upgrade to Apple's redesigned 2018 iPad Pro?

The Apple versus Microsoft hardware double-standard rears up again with the latest Surface...
GeorgeBMac said:AI seems to forget that Microsoft is not a hardware company. When they sell hardware it's mostly to exploit and demonstrate their software. And, with that, Microsoft left Apple in the dust.Nearly a decade ago they developed an OS that works either in touch-screen mode or touchpad mode. And, since then they have proceeded to refine and perfect it.Meanwhile, Apple is stuck back a decade or two ago where you still need to buy and carry two devices: One for touch-screen and one for touchpad mode. The Windows OS provides freedom to the user: he can use touch-screen when that works best then switch to touchpad when that works best.Apple is lagging behind.I can hear Steve now: "This is crap! Fix it!"... And, I am sure that they will. Apple has always hated it when Microsoft made them look bad.
Because Apple made the correct decision to make an iPad with touch screen and laptops without, Microsoft felt they had to differentiate themselves from Apple by combining the two. You say that the Windows user can use touch-screen when that works best. The thing is, its best is never as good as an iPad because it’s a kludge designed for force a desktop OS into a tablet and both are compromised for the worse.
also, in breaking news: Steve Jobs is dead and cannot talk to you and you can’t hear him. And a final comment from SJ:
“We’ve done tons of user testing on this,” says Jobs. “and it turns out it doesn’t work. Touch surfaces don’t want to be vertical. It gives great demo. But after a short period of time, you start to fatigue. After an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. It doesn’t work. It’s ergonomically terrible. Touch surface want to be horizontal.”
Appleout is lagging behind? Hmmm.
