  • Why Apple won't buy TikTok, even to attract younger users

I don't see where buying TikTok would be in Apple's best interest anyways. They already have young buyer's interests when it comes to Apple products. There's not a lot of good for Apple that would come from purchasing TikTok. The negatives far outweigh any possible positives.

  • Samsung S25 deals deliver up to $1,050 off for iPhone users willing to switch

Wow...they're that desperate huh? Maybe if that made a good phone with a good OS and a great ecosystem people would consider buying it without incentives. If you have to basically give phones away to get people to buy into your products then you're not doing something right.

  • Why Walmart still won't accept Apple Pay

Yet another reason why I will never step foot into any Walmart. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere...such as Target. Much better shopping experience and clientele anyways.

  • Trump hesitates over instituting China tariffs that would hurt Apple

T**** (the convicted felon and sexual predator) is a criminal.

Tim Cook is complicit with a criminal.
I don’t perceive Cook to be happily collaborating like Musk and Bezos and other billionaire scum (but I repeat myself). The Traitor-in-Chief will be in the office four more years, it’s Cook’s duty to employees and shareholders to advocate for Apple with whoever occupies the office.

I agree...I don't think Tim Cook is doing this because he wants to. He's doing this because he has to in order to protect Apple as a company. As a leader (and a good leader), you have to learn to work with people, even if you don't like them or agree with them.

  • Newly-appointed Apple CFO denies 75% App Store profit claim in UK trial

The business model isn’t so complicated, but apparently it’s a little too complicated for some people to understand. If someone could calculate how much the developers are making from advertising on the free apps, Apple’s cut of that (0%) should definitely be factored into the larger figure. And they seem to think it’s all so straightforward, but I don’t hear anyone complaining about the price Apple charges for software updates, for OS or apps. The free stuff is only possible because there is paid stuff compensating for it.
Not to mention the fact that Apple develops all kinds of API's and other tools and basically hands it out to anyone for free. It's not free for Apple to develop these tools, make sure they work as intended, are safe to be used and doesn't hurt the user experience in the end. It's not free for Apple to keep these tools up to date with updates to Xcode and iOS updates. It costs Apple tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars to do this and yet they basically give it all away.

Apple also has built out and manages these massive data centers around the world to run the store, keeps it maintained and supported 24/7/365. That's not free for Apple and just because they make billions doesn't mean anyone should just blow it off like it nothing.

If there are any kind of processing fees, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the developer pays any of those.

Bottomline is it's not free for Apple to run the store, keep iOS up to date and create new technologies and features and give developers the tools to build apps based off those new technologies and features so they can make money too. Just because Apple rakes in billions of dollars doesn't mean they need to continue giving more and more and more away for free, or massive discounting on things.
