Apple sues Jon Prosser over iOS 26 leaks
Mark Gurman just throws a bunch of shit at the wall to see what sticks and then claims he was right, when he just changed his story about 18 times to make it "right". You just really never know with him. I think he definitely has a source inside Apple or a manufacturing partner or something like that but it's only a matter of time before they get caught too. -
Tim Cook isn't going to get fired, and Steve Jobs isn't rolling over in his grave
Tim Cook is the best CEO ever for Apple, yes better than Steve Jobs. Apple wouldn't be what it is today without Tim Cook. People think Steve Jobs was GOD and nothing ever went wrong under Steve Jobs. These people either have poor memories (or are stuck in the late 90's-early 2000's), or they weren't even born yet. There were plenty of things that didn't go right, outright failures and things that didn't progress very far at all.

-.Mac (had to be rebranded to mobileMe)
-mobileMe (had to be rebranded to iCloud)
-iPhone 4 AntennaGate (you're holding it wrong!)
-G4 Macs (barely any advances YoY with sometimes the new model slower than the older model)
-G5 Macs (barely any advances YoY and broken promises)
-Announcing products and shipping them months afterwards. (this was classic during the G3/G4 days)
These are just some examples of shit that didn't go right under Steve Jobs. Very few called for him to be fired when these happened.
I ask this question every single time someone says Tim should be fired...who would be a better CEO for Apple than Tim Cook and NOBODY has ever answered that question, not one single time yet they seem to have all of the solutions for Apple. Just fire Tim Cook!
And who gives a shit what Steve Jobs thinks of Apple today. He's not here anymore and it's not his company. You don't know what Steve would think and it doesn't matter anyways. It's an absolutely pointless mindset to have. -
Apple is right to ditch folding iPad plans in favor of the iPhone Fold

Apple plans low-cost MacBook based on iPhone processor
Seems like they could just put an M1 in it if they wanted a cheaper Mac....What I don't want to see if Apple start this race to the bottom with "cheap" devices. Apple is a premium brand and should be treated as such. They may be pricing some people out but that's just how it goes. I can't afford a BMW or Mercedes Benz but that doesn't mean they should be making $25,000 BMW's or Mercedes Benz's. It just cheapens the brand in the end.
That being said if they can keep quality up and use some older SoC's such as the M1 then why not? They make a $500 Mac mini that seems to be good quality however making a $500 Mac mini is a lot different than making a $500-600 MacBook as it has a keyboard/mouse, and screen.
I could see this being popular in K-12/College education. Sorta like the eMac of its time, only a laptop instead of a desktop. -
If you were underwhelmed by WWDC 2025, you're not alone
randominternetperson said:No offense, but are you a developer? It's a developer conference where developers are introduced to new capabilities introduced in the new OSes.
You can't judge a conference by its keynote.
It's possible that the conference is ultimately "underwhelming," but its the conference attendees who will decide that.
And it's day 2 of a 5-day conference!
