  • Repair site praises new iPhone 16 line as the most repairable yet

No doubt upcoming EU directives came into play on these changes.

Oh I'm sure they'll find something to bitch about. The EU is never happy no matter what Apple does for anything whether it's a piece of hardware, software or their services.

All these improvements to repairability and yet it is the best iPhone ever! Who would have thought that was possible. :-)
It also took a shitload of reengineering of basically the entire internal section of the iPhone. This couldn't have been cheap to do. Stuff like this is the stuff people don't understand when they complain that the phone is the same phone as last year. Maybe at a glance yes it's the same phone as last year but they don't see the internals being pretty much entirely different. Sometimes the changes that need to be made are under the hood, not customer facing.

  • iPhone 16 Pro metal-wrapped battery & better cooling confirmed by teardown

I love how Apple designs the inside of their products to look as good as the outside. A great feat of proper engineering and just shows the great lengths Apple goes when designing its products, even if it's something most customers will never see.

I feel like Apple is running out of ideas with the iPhone which makes sense since it's a very mature product. This seems like a gimmick to me.
Better camera controls are certainly not a gimmick. Shooting is still awkward on a phone. Putting the capture controls where they belong, on the top-right side, is welcome.

Would I advise normies upgrade for it? Or upgrade each year? Not at all. Is that you? Or are you a phone nerd who wants the latest and greatest? Both are fine.
I just upgraded last year to an iPhone 15 Pro from an iPhone 12 Pro. I don't need nor do I care to have the latest and greatest Apple products. I just recently pre-ordered the new Apple Watch series 10 to replace my Series 5. I just don't see this as a useful tool, at least to me. Just like I don't see the action button as a useful tool. I just use it as the sleep silent button like it used to be. It's just not useful to me.

I mean, you've been a negative troll on this forum for a very long time, but I'd love to see you list additional features and improvements that are exciting, feasible, and would benefit the majority of iPhone users, since everything is allegedly a "gimmick" to you, and Apple is "out of ideas". No seriously, very curious about that. Because to me, taking one of the most commonly used and important features of the device (taking photos), and making that interaction more robust, flexible, powerful, funner, and easier to use, is the literal opposite of a "gimmick".
No I haven't lol. I think you need to go back and re-read some of my posts and then you'll realize how fuckin stupid your comment is. You're the one who jumps to conclusions and just because someone doesn't agree with something Apple announced or did, they're automatically a troll.
