I feel like Apple is running out of ideas with the iPhone which makes sense since it's a very mature product. This seems like a gimmick to me.

I agree...they built this beautiful theatre at Apple Park and now they never use it so they can make these preproduction announcements that in IMO are over produced. I'd rather just see a live event.  

Yeah I'm not letting Google scan my photos and sell them or the data to the highest bidder. I'll keep my photos safe and sound inside iCloud thank you very much. Never touching anything Google with a 10ft pole. And why does Google need to copy everything Apple does...even their icon looks like iOS's photos icon.

As shake up go that is like a 2.1on the Richter scale.

Yeah but words like "Shake up" get clicks and headlines so it's just another example of using words for clicks in today's journalism. 

I can't see Apple releasing updates to the Mac lineup at this event. Unless there really isn't much to talk about with iPhone or Apple Watch. By the time they get through the new iPhone, Apple Watch, possibly reintroducing some AI features (or announcing ones they couldn't talk about at WWDC) this will be a full event, or at least long enough o where if they added on any Macs it would make the event too long. Typically we see a late September or early to mid October event for the Macs.
