  • TikTok says DoJ's China-link claims are overblown

The government is ran by a bunch of old geezers who can barely operate a computer or phone yet they think they understand how TikTok works and want to shut it down. The congress interview with the CEO of TikTok shows it all...it was incredibly embarrassing to watch.

If they want to shut down TikTok because of "privacy" issues then they also need to shut down X (Twitter), FaceBook, Instagram, etc. Anything TikTok is doing isn't any different than any other social media platform.

  • Apple offers all-time high $300 welcome bonus for new Apple Card signups

To answer the questions from people wanting the Apple card in their non-US countries: when Apple can find a financial partner willing to jump through the bureaucratic hoops to offer it in those countries. Apple's lack of fees probably really hurts it in this regard.
This...IMO this is really a great card for the consumer, but probably not so great for the financial backer of the card. They never make any money off me as I just use it for the cash back and then pay the balance off as soon as I can pay it. And I also love the savings account where I put nearly all of my savings into because of its great APR. Yes, there are better ones out there but it's just so easy to use and maintain the Apple Card.

I think there are too many responsible people using the Apple Card so its partner isn't making the money off it they had hoped and its making it harder for partners in other counties to see where they'd benefit from partnering with Apple on a credit card.

  • Is Apple finally serious about gaming after its latest push?

Apple needs to shit on the pot or get off it when it comes to games. Every couple of years Apple does this and we see maybe 1 thing happen and then it fizzles out. Couple years later Apple announces it's making a push into gaming again, rinse and repeat.

If they're gonna do it then do it and stick with it. It's not gonna happen overnight but they now have a great hardware platform and if developers can see where they can make an iOS game and a macOS game at the same time perhaps more major gaming studios will choose to make those versions. Apple needs to stick with it though and not just say they're gonna do something and then 6 months later let it all fizzle out.

  • Google is finally adding a speedometer to Google Maps on iPhone

Apple Maps does not have speed limit warnings. It has speed check camera warnings.
It doesn't have speed limit warnings, however it does tell you the speed limit of the roads you're driving on. Honestly I don't want it to tell me when I'm speeding. Here in Orlando, FL if you're not going over the speed limit you're getting ran over and are just in the way. Speed limits are just a suggestion around here.
