How to hide all but your open apps in macOS Dock
I've had my dock set up to only show open apps for years but I didn't have to run any terminal commands to do so. I've simply removed all apps from the dock. Just right klick any app and deselect "Keep in Dock" under Options. Open apps are still showing and quitting an app makes it disappear from the dock. I'm not sure if the end result is any different? But it sure was a very simple way to do it -
