  • Apple's Studio Display doesn't shine in the light of competition

It's a great display. But you can find better at the $1,599 price. This is probably aimed at the professional/prosumer market, who need to calibrate displays/scanners/printers to precise specs. It can be done on 3rd party monitors, but is easier with Apple displays. Ideal scenario would be an all Apple-made turnkey workstation, where everything is already calibrated to CMYK and Pantone metrics. Sure would have made this retired printing business owner's workflow easier!

But then, if I was going to dream of unicorns and rainbows…
Show me another 5K monitor with the quality and build of the Studio Display, I'll wait...because there isn't one...

16.2 didn’t break anything for my setup, but I also didn’t see any meaningful improvements in the reliability of my HomeKit devices. I have over 25 Hue lights, and routinely asking Siri to turn off all lights at night leaves one to three randomly turned on. Then I have to ask it again. 16.2 didn’t fix that, unfortunately.
I read another post somewhere from a user who said they had 58 devices connected. I associate this with the people who had 100,000 songs in their libraries and got all pissy because they were having issues. Some just take things to the limit and then over, then scream when it goes off the rails.
if they are within the number of device limits it should work and the limit is 150.  AM Music limit is 25,000.  Not the same scenario at all.

  • Complaining about Apple retail conditions is like 'writing to Santa'

As always the Apple suck ups are here.  Just because you like their products doesn't mean you also have to contort yourself to like their morals or lack thereof.  Try to be more secure in your purchases than that.
Then you get the Jobs this and the Jobs that from people who clearly don't know anything about the man.  Yet they blabber the most about him.
