Since  subscribers for cable are trending down and cable revenues are trending up, I am pretty sure the cable companies don't care. I was surprised last week, when it came time to sign up for a new promotional rate for Internet from Comcast, that they actually lowered my monthly rate by15%. Something must be happening or working. Maybe they understand it will be easier for someone to come in and take the  internet business than it is to take the television business. 5G has promise lets see how they manage that.

When the device requires a separate bridge I move on. I have bulbs and wall outlet controllers all compatible with Siri/Homekit. It can be done. Why all the extra hardware?

Forth comment in the tread. Does not take long for someone to say if everyone had a gun no good guy would ever die of a gun shot. I wonder why they never publish the stories of the people killed with their own gun. Nothing but an extremely simplistic solution to an extremely complex situation. 

Still waiting for someone to come out with a smart lock that is not ugly.
