They just want the payout.  If it was about safety, they'd be suing every phone manufacturer.  Android-based phones don't do a lock out, Windows-based phones don't do a lock out.  Hell, even most GPS devices don't do lockouts.  You get a pop-up warning that you can easily click "OK" on and go about doing everything you shouldn't be doing.

As a previous poster said, it is the person's responsibility.  However, in this case, the 'person' probably didn't have enough money to satisfy the family suffering the loss, and they figured the deep Apple pockets would make them happier.

450 is the max,  not the expected or average.  Look at the graph posted in the article.  Shows the iPhones getting ~2.5mbps and the Galaxy getting ~4.5mbps

Then what is the point of a non-related graph to the story?  Why claim 450 vs 600 and show a graph that only goes to a tenth of that?  Another indication of a pointless story.

I've never seen more than about 80mbps on cellular at all.  Even when traveling.  I am guessing this is only for cellular speeds, and not WiFi speeds?

My MacBook Pro was the cheaper 15" with a couple CTO options.  Bought day of the event.  Card got charged this morning, but delivery still shows at 11/17-11/25.

This all stinks because I vastly prefer the Nest to the EcoBee 3 (was not impressed).
