Thank you, GeorgeBMac, I completely agree. MBP users would be the wrong market to initiate this kind of grand change... Too many apps to port, too many questions re: compatibility/boot camp and too many questions re: raw power.

Better to begin with a version of the MBA or consumer MB. I believe iOS compatibility and perhaps a touchscreen (even a limited one like Win10) would fit a lighter use consumer. My wife will not let go of her 2011 MBA 11 inch! It's so small and so light. She has been using Internet/Zoom/GoogSheets/Word/Keynote nearly everyday for 9 years. (Would have purchased for her the 12inch MB if it had 2 USB-C's & higher rez camera.) The battery is at over 1200 cycles and amazingly still gives her two hours without plugging in. Really in the market for something new!!

The handwringing would have been unhelpful in selling "ObamaCare" so there was none that I'm aware of.

My biggest concern is: Has the U.S. government learned nothing from the H1Ni Pandemic!?! Where are the Health Care Emergency Protocols to allow for (perhaps) emergency suspension of HIPPA laws so we can test more widely? Dr Fauci said that the System is "failing" because we are not "set up" to allow the kind of testing ala South Korea, et al!

What bothers me is that the footnotes in the letter are mostly links to "news" stories. I'm not impressed by news stories being used to bolster a case.

Then I checked into the last 2 refs to the bureau and... 14: Freedom Mortgage Corporations case was a settlement because managers told loan officers that if no race was indicated that they should input "Non-Hispanic White." Huh? I thought that was a positive -- being white.
