We just learned the details of the iPhone 14 a week before the iPhone 13 comes out. The 14 looks good enough to make it worth waiting a year to get it. 
Considering how much Apple values secrecy, it simply isn't working. It's failing when it counts the most. If Apple really wanted to beef up its security, they could invest $10 billion on fully automated iPhone factories in the USA. That investment would pay off big time by producing robot technology Apple could sell to consumers and businesses.

Which would you rather have: an iMac made out of a single piece of curved glass or one which allowed you to easily upgrade the RAM and SSD and which fully supported the right to repair?

Encrypted but with keys held by Apple, so that the images can be decrypted on-demand.

So not encrypted then?
Would Apple agree to upload all their source code to GitHub where it is encrypted but GitHub holds the keys so that it can be decrypted on-demand?

Oh gee thanks Apple! Now if only I could connect directly to the WiFi in my trail camera without going through the awful buggy process of first connecting Bluetooth and then via WiFi in the settings app every single time I want to check the pictures.
