Apple working on radical iMac redesign using single sheet of glass
When I get excited about a new computer it is due to what can be done with it, not as much about how it looks. A new GPU architecture, AI features, a large number of CPU cores, built in cellular data, an edge to edge micro-led screen and so on. Sure it's great if the computer looks awesome, but design takes a back seat to functionality.

Truth to power. Apple has in the past built its products in sweatshops in China and only stopped when the word got out about it. They have also used student labor and forced labor. Periodically another sweat shop is discovered somewhere in the production chain and is corrected. Gervais is correct even if you don't want to believe it.
Currently right here in California, Apple is treating its contracted labor horribly compared to its employees.

My advice: Don't code for Mac OS and iOS if you want to "follow your heart". Apple will get in your way at every turn with their byzantine rules, lack of necessary SDK and lack of respect for its own customers freedom to use their computers and smart devices in any way they wish.

Apple also didn't block Microsoft from bringing its apps to iPad. It took a while because Microsoft first wanted to try getting Windows Phone and tablets to take off, but once that folded it gave up and ported Office to iPad. Apple also has an frienemy relationship with lots of other companies, and still works with them and takes their money.
