About WWDC: This conference makes no sense. The expensive tickets are sold via lottery but the vast majority of developers can only stream the conference. When you stream, you cannot listen to the very important Q&A at the end of sessions, let alone actually ask your own questions. You also cannot take part in the labs and many other benefits of attending in person. WWDC has become just another Apple marketing event.

About that Mac Pro: What if Apple says that you can put any GPU you want in your Mac Pro as long as it is made by AMD? That is a serious possibility given that Apple is having a feud with NVIDIA and will not allow it to release updated drivers. -

All those creative professionals who require NVIDIA GPUs to run CUDA based applications are being forced to abandon the Mac platform. Windows 10 is pretty usable now days. Mac OS has remained pretty much the same for the past decade or so and Windows caught up. Many still prefer the Mac but once they are forced off the platform, it is going to be really hard for Apple to win them back. On Windows they can use whatever PC build they need. They can tailor the RAM, storage, CPU(s), and GPU(s) to their needs. They can use a touch screen if they want. They can do all this at a fraction of the cost of a "Pro" Macintosh. Once you go Windows, you don't go back.

Why Apple is now focusing on users, not units in Fiscal 2019
The problem Apple faces is that the needs of their customers are changing faster than Apple can realize it and add features to enable it. The wall around Apple's garden works in both directions. It keeps some users in but keeps many more out. An example: Apple dictates what the Apple Watch is for. It is for notifications. It is not for users to download custom watch faces. It is absolutely positively not for playing games or scanning for nearby WiFi networks or recording conversations or 99% of the other possible things users may want to do with it. -

Not one line of that code was developed on an iPad. Sure there are people that can use an iPad Pro for their work but it is a tiny fraction of what would be possible if Apple took the cuffs off.randominternetperson said:
