  • Rumor: Apple's 2016 iPhone will be dubbed the 'iPhone 6SE'

The Mac device naming is terrible - trying to
find out which model is which based on the month it was released is ridiculous.
Oh come now, it's easy to tell an iMac13,2 from an iMac14,2 from an iMac17,1.  ;)

  • Kanye swears his new album will never come to Apple Music or iTunes

No such thing as bad publicity guys. Everyone calling him names over the past couple days have achieved what he wanted which was that you're talking about his album and Tidal.

A co-worker and I have this debate all the time. She claims that the advertising worked because I was humming the jingle or because I became aware of the product. I claim that it failed because it didn't make go out and buy said product. Ditto here. We may be talking about the asshat's new album, or about Tidal, but I seriously doubt a single one of us would buy the album or sign up for Tidal just to listen to it.

  • Apple acknowledges '1970' date bug, promises solution in later software update

Just discovered there's a bug in my car. If I remove one of the battery cables it won't start. Bricked. Someone should sue.
You should sue yourself for writing something so inane.

Also, the fracking use of "brick" when it's not really bricked has got to end.
I guess you missed the sarcasm. Thought the notion of trying to start a car with one of the battery cables disconnected made that obvious.

  • 'iPhone 7' might replace 3.5mm headphone jack with second speaker, analysts say

This is the dumbest rumor yet. I'm all for removing the 3.5mm headphone jack unless it's for this. The quality of a speaker that small, and the lack of spatial separation makes this all but pointless for the customer. Barclay's is just speculating, and doing so badly. Did they bother to consult with any audio engineers first?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The stereo separation at 2" is going to be mind blowing!

  • Steve Jobs left Apple on his own, wasn't forced out, Wozniak says

Of course they should have known that Jobs wasn't going to accept that (but what choices did they have? Steve was fighting against the Apple II which was the milk cow etc...), but still I think he hasn't been fired.

In my opinion, they knew full well that Jobs wouldn't accept it. As others have stated, it's tantamount to firing someone without actually firing them.
