No amount of Apple ‘brainwashing’ will get the ‘masses’ to buy the new Mac Pro. That’s because a) this machine is not intended for consumers and b) Apple’s target market is high end video and audio professionals that have OTP (other people’s money) to spend on such a system. Just like Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s are not targeted to the masses, the Mac Pro is NOT the ‘people’s computer’ End of rant...

P.S. This doesn’t mean a few well-to-do consumers won’t break out their wallets ;-)

The most frivolous lawsuit ever! Apple has no obligation to inform subscribers that they utilize 3rd party Cloud Service Providers. Furthermore, given how these applications are architected it’s impossible to determine whether or not a user’s data physically resides on a server located inside an Apple data center or a CSP datacenter. Companies, such as Apple, commonly utilize CSP’s to augment their own data enters and/or collocation facilities...

The roots of Claris go all the way back to the Macintosh introduction in 1984. Microsoft basically threatened to stop all Microsoft development, on the Mac, unless Apple canned their own 1st party apps (MacWrite, MacDraw, etc.) Apple setup Claris as their software subsidiary to keep Bill Gates happy...

Apple will be in business long after Trump is a distant memory. The sooner the better...

Not sure if this is a good move or not. Time will tell. I do think it makes sense for Apple not to be 100% reliant on Qualcomm for it's future 5G modems. In typical Apple fashion, they will want to optimize the hardware and software stacks for any unique features as well as maximum performance. Also, from everything I've read this Fall's refreshes will still have Lightning and 4G while the Fall 2020 refresh will introduce USB-C and 5G into the platform.
