Cool beans!
I already have a OWC TB2 dock... looks like I'l be upgrading to this IF they solved the problem of USB drives spontaneously being dismounted / remounted.

New MacBook Pro drops optical audio out through headphone jack
I've never used the SPDIF out on any of my MacBook Pros. I won't miss it if it's missing from the new 15". I'm glad they kept the headphone jack... in a pinch I can monitor a protools session on the fly even if it does't have the best DAC around.
