  • Apple Store shuts down ahead of iPhone 16 launch event

^^* I came to say the same thing. Somebody is apparently confused by time zones, lol.

  • iPad Pro hands on: Luxury technology in an impossibly-thin package

Great review, most of which I agree with (I don’t have nano glass so can’t comment on that.)

But the first paragraph was confusing, because I don’t think the writer understands the meaning of the phrase “come to pass.”  He seems to think it means “to have passed by” when actually it means “to have come to exist” now, in the present.

I THINK he meant to say that the days of the iPad Pro being for everyone are now in the past. But instead he said the opposite.

Big question for Apple 🍎 how much ? This is going to cost the American people. I know is not going to be free. Or is it?????????
Of course it’s free, it’s just part of an iOS update. Apple does not have any history of charging for new features. What’s your agenda here?

  • iPhone 16 rumored to get better Siri with AI and improved microphones

There is a huge AI improvement to Siri in iOS 17.2 that I just encountered today (in the latest beta.). If someone sends you an iMessage containing a photo, and you’re listening to messages in the car or otherwise via Siri, it will use AI to describe the contents of the photo.

I was shocked as I was driving earlier and listened to a message from my partner and Siri said “Kenny sent a photo of a bowl of soup and a plate of meat and vegetables.”  I had to pull over and look, and that turned out to be a completely accurate description. A very cool new feature and a great use of AI.

The due date of the bills is not relevant as some cards already allow you to pick your own payment due date. It’s significantly easier to know a bill is always due on the 1st.
I think the issue is that by having the same due date for everyone, it creates a customer service issue around the beginning of every month as customers call in with questions/issues all at the same time instead of being spread through the month. That, in turn, creates big staffing challenges for the bank.
