Apple Mail in iOS 18 introduces on-device email categorization, Smart Replies, and summari...
My million dollar question have they fixed or done properly the Remind Me feature. When you select an email to be reminded later, it still sits there in your inbox, annoyingly so. Unlike outlook, it doesn't hide in a snooze folder. This has totally baffled me why Mail does this.Another gripe with mail is why when you reply with mail (say in an email chain) that the recipient receives loads of attachments which are either small images, signatures etc. Why this has not ever been resolved by Apple is equally frustrating as mail user. -
Revamped Photos app in iOS 18 makes searching better, but hides a key sharing control
The new photos app looks terrible, confusing and messy. I am dreading the upgrade. Swipe left, swipe up and then some photos auto hidden (e.g. screenshots) from some views.
It's geared as a major overhaul and there are no doubt some welcome changes but when this was demonstrated on the keynote, my heart sank with dread. I just thought, oh my god, I am going to get lost in that thing. Major over hauls are deemed exciting but sometimes they can be a disaster.I have never had such apprehension in an app update as I have with this photos app. I hope I am proved wrong when it's released.
Quote from AppleInider "Most of those (images) are now much more visual, and it takes quite some scrolling to get to the old plain text list showing Hidden, Recently Deleted, and so on.
Case in point, this doesn't sound great. Lets hope by the time the full release is issued that this is a lot better thought out. -
