  • LG reneges on AirPlay 2 and HomeKit for 2018 TVs

Why call a TV a smart TV if it can never be upgraded. Nothing smart about that if you ask me. Marketing fluff. If this is an attempt by TV manufacturers to want you to keep upgrading then its an utter shame on the environment with trying to make TVs on a regular recycle like an iPhone. Come on TVs get smarter not dumber.

  • Bose Smart Soundbar 300 with AirPlay 2 support up for preorder

    Beats said:
So lately I've been hearing people talk about Apple acquiring Sonos.

    What do ya'll think?
I don't think they need to purchase Sonos. They have all the sound technology they need with Beats and that billion dollar purchase. Maybe from a user base it could make sense but at what cost.

  • USB 3, USB 4, Thunderbolt, & USB-C -- everything you need to know

USB-C, Thunderbolt, same plug different capabilities, different names. Oh boy, poor public this is unnecessarily confusing. They need to standardise the name and have a set of fixed capabilities. As someone mentioned above, what a mess.

  • Plugable launches affordable USB-C 7-in-1 hub

I am so surprised these USB hubs only allow 1 monitor e.g. 1 HDMI output. Most users these days have two monitors. Yes, your laptop is the 2nd normally but not in an office environment. 2 HDMI should be the norm these days, in opinion anyway.

  • Level Touch is a compact HomeKit smart lock that can be controlled with a tap

I bought this and love it. Frustratingly, I had to buy online and have it shipped to my US office who then shipped it to Australia because they don't sell them online to international customers, I then had to download the app via a US App Store account, that said, I could have done without it because of HomeKit.

Anyway, after a convoluted buying process, I received it and installed it so easily, (even on a door thinner than they recommend). However, the lock is beautifully designed that its almost a shame to hide it within the door. It simply works and no one has a clue you have an automated lock as there is nothing on the outside. Its simply clever as the Skoda ads say.

Level Lock also provided support, including the how to get auto-lock automation to work around without being prompted first.

This is a great lock and I am sure with further firmware updates will get even better, not that here is much you can change.

    Highly recommend this one.
