Here's another killer feature of the Kindle: it's from a company that takes reading and books very seriously. Apple has a dilettante approach to its book reader. The latest iteration does nothing to make ready more enjoyable: same old stupid typefaces (not even an option for their serif San Francisco), no ability to change line-height for those books where the text is invariably too scrunched on a page, and most egregious: you cannot have a sample you've downloaded on one device available on another. 

Oh sure, you can now add it to "Want to read", but even that pales in comparison to the Kindle where any sample you're interested in is right there for you to download. 

Apple Books is pretty but shallow.

Let's be more accurate here: teens *intend* to use their parents' disposable income to get new iPhones. Teens do not have money of their own and for those who have jobs, they're summer jobs or part-time work.

In any case, you better start bugging mommy and daddy now because come 15 April, they're not going to have so much disposable income once they start paying on that payday loan they heard was a tax cut.

And why is it automatically a political statement? Oh, by the way, if the entire watch face is verboten, then one cannot surreptiously add it on his own. Endlessly interesting how those with nothing to lose always recommend giving up everything by those who do, no matter what it is.

In any case, the ban is no doubt being met with wild approval from American techie boyz.

I asked a friend something similar: how long before there's an embedded camera under the screen *and* will orient itself so that whatever/whoever you're filming will always appear right-side up?
