Well, I'm doing my part - finally gave in and got a 7plus yesterday on Apple's replacement plan (just in case the 8 is that much better!).
My wife thinks it's her Christmas present to me...I let her think that...
Pain in the ass of course getting all my music on and books in the Kindle reading app, and reviewing all the settings for possible changes,
 but, I can't remember the last time I felt so good about a new toy!  (It makes my hand feel happier than almost anything else  )

It's important to note how adept Apple's competitors have become, not necessarily at making admirable alternatives, but
at affecting Apple releases, generally through their media allies.
It's going to affect the 7's sales when articles about the projected features of the 8 begin appearing almost immediately.
I don't remember quite so much smoke about the 6s or the 7 when the 6's appeared.

I wonder if these are in any way similar to the much larger electrostatic speakers (?)
 that were briefly popular in the...seventies?  eighties?  
Or perhaps they still are.  I'm neither an audiophile, nor an engineer - electrical, acoustical, or otherwise,
so if I've said something unspeakably ignorant about speaker technology, please school me!

Will both sides arrive at the same time???

Yes it does...Apparently it was inaccurate in 10.12.1 which was resulting in the complaints about battery life. I assume this will be restored back once its functioning properly. 

Hmm...hard to see how it could ever really "function properly", since the time will vary wildly based on which tasks it's used for...
