  • Early 2019 iPad mini reviews call it evolutionary, but best small tablet available

I have the original mini, so, it's unlikely anyone has been waiting for this update longer.  My 'original' has very old software, of course,
and a wonderful way of crashing when I link into Safari.  And although updating the processors from the Mini4 is a wonderful
improvement, there aren't many other striking advances (use of the lesser pencil is only marginally attractive to my purposes).

Still, I'm neither an 'executive', nor a 'creative', and this is a spectacular upgrade from my 'original'...
Primarily - but not solely - it will serve as my best ebook reader, Kindles being a glitchy, pathetic, unreliable excuse for a tablet.
I'm mostly happy with the changes, aside from having to choose between too little and too much memory - a well-established Apple trick -
and look forward to obtaining one (as soon as I can distract my wife into looking "over there!!!").

  • New dummy unit of Apple's 'iPhone 8' shows off alleged gold/copper color

    "Copper"?
    ...No,
    "Coffee Diarrhea"...

  • ESPN uses iPhone 7 for 9th annual 'Body Issue' cover shoot

I happened to peruse the entire posted set of the 16 featured athletes.  Aside from occasionally interesting brief bios, there are numerous pictures,
and the equivalent of "live photos" of each of them, including wider shots of the shots themselves being taken,
and it's clear SI made extensive use of "much more superior SLR cameras".

I suppose I should really wait until I actually wake up, to start crafting comments...

  • Apple puts up WWDC 2017 decorations at San Jose's McEnery Convention Center

I'm going to go out on a limb here (the fire department can always rescue me back down and get a pitcher of martinis) and say that the price for the Apple Speaker System You Want will be $795.  There will be a less-expensive version, but you will want the one I'm talking about.  Cheers!
I don't think I Will Want either of them...
I've grown attached to my iPad mini (original), except for the part about it not-so-much keeping up any more,
and even the 7plus i recently bought isn't a substitute for my uses,so I'm agonizing, instead, over whether to break open the penny jar
to grab the current iPad mini, against the threat of it being discontinued altogether (aarrrggh).

(Oh, and off-topic, sorry, but I got another one of those notices from a few months ago, about how my iCloud account
has been shut down...although I paid that bill 5 days ago!  devices are fine, but on laptop, iCloud wants me to "set up"
again..."Yes, here's my password - you're welcome".  Or, maybe, as a software issue, it is on-topic...?)

  • Apple expected to reveal new 10.5-inch iPad Pro at WWDC

I've come to prefer reading on my iPad mini to using a Kindle.
The one thing I dislike is that it's very difficult to hold it
without frequent inadvertent page turns and similar miscues,
so, for my usage at least, "narrower bezels" isn't really a plus.
