Apple may launch its own web-based search engine
It makes sense from a defensive perspective. If Google were to ever pull search from Apple, Apple would have a way to continue without Google, with no downtime.

This is exactly why Siri is so frustrating to use. Anytime a service creates frustration, people will quickly avoid using it, no matter the type or industry that service resides. I completely agree that Siri, after at least eight years of its existence hasn’t gotten to the point it’s usable. Batteries get old? Imagine that. An old battery can make a device quit, shut off or work slower? Who knew? Whoever thinks that your device needs to be replaced because the battery failed must be replacing their cars every time the battery dies. Buy a new battery, they get old and stop working just like every other device that requires batteries. Are people making a big fuss when their car battery, flashlight, watch, drone etc dies due to an aging battery?
