Apple Watch sensor has racial bias, claims new lawsuit
Oh good god, learn some physics.
- The watch works by shining photons.
- The point of dark skin is to absorb photons
- Less photons means less data.
= If it was possible to shine more photons they would say that Apple was racist for the battery not lasting as long. Maybe that is what is happening now.
I remember back when racism was an "old people problem" that was not going to be a problem in the future. Now the problem seems hopeless. -

Apple circulating anti-union talking points to retail store managers
If you want to prevent unionization, treat your workers with respect. Apple forced workers to stand for a half hour a day unpaid for security checks. And the standard claims of making the working environment less flexible is insulting. No union ever prevented managers from better accommodating their workers needs. (Unless that "accomodation" was actually an excuse to make things more difficult for someone else.) -

Apple's M2 chip - what to expect from the next Apple Silicon evolution
This is more about naming conventions then actually what is in the chips. Customers are likely to assume that anything "M2" must be faster than any "M1" chip. But Apple ultimately decides what the names actually mean, and might do things differently. The M2 described in this article just sounds like something between the M1 and M1 pro.
