Steve got it wrong. Tablets aren’t cars. Phones are cars, tablets are vans, PCs are trucks. (Watches are bikes?)

Have any press been given any hands on time with the actual device yet, because all I see on the website are CGI renders.

Because we don't even have a dodgy render of what Apple's AR solution might be.

Although, as they point out in the article, it could be a number of things other than an AR device. An IR scanner for the new iPhone UnicornX? Eye tracking gear for new human interface designs? Lots of things it could be, AR is just one possibility.

So presumably this would be Apple creating the software equivalent of a cure for cancer?
