  • Samsung delays launch of Galaxy Fold after review unit screen failures [u]

Pathetic. Apparently, this is what happens when Samsung doesn't have Apple doing their R&D for them.

I am waiting with bated breath to see how Huawei et. al overcome this issue: anyone want to bet?
Does Huawei offer its Fold smartphone to reviewers too?

  • Huawei's debuts $2,600 foldable Mate X, hits new smartphone price record

With this announcement it is important to realize that not only is Trump walking back his allegations that Huawei is a security concern, but most of Europe is now challenging his claims.   In fact, Great Britian's head of intelligence just issued an ultimatum to Trump to "Put up (the evidence) or shut up".
You're confusing the Trump executive administration with the US intelligence community; agencies which Trump does not like.

Did you ever see the evidence that Putin and the Russians hacked the DNC email and meddled in our election? Nope. But you accept that they did.
Good point.   Or, it would be if it were applicable.   It is not the U.S. intelligence community who made the allegations of spying against Huawei, it was Trump.   And, not only is the rest of the world starting to question those allegations, but Trump is starting to walk them back.
Incorrect. Six US intelligence agencies, which debriefed US senators. The same agencies Trump decries for their comments about him. There is no way Trump controls these six agencies and made them fake their conclusions.

“Don’t use Huawei phones, say heads of FBI, CIA, and NSA”

US Senators: “Huawei is effectively an arm of the Chinese government”

    https://www.cio.com.au/article/633134/huawei-effectively-an-arm-chinese-government-us-senator/

...so if you believed them when they said Russia helped Trump win, I want to know why you choose not to believe them now. Other than confirmation bias, of course.
There is single correct reason they would not tell you or the world. Using Huawei equipment will pose great difficulty for US spy agencies to install back doors.

  • Apple boycott by Chinese firms supporting Huawei is escalating

On a related note, I never saw this bit of news reported.

One of the two homes that are owned by Wanzhou and/or her husband here in Vancouver was the site of a home invasion during the time she was waiting for her bail hearing. The intruders left when someone confronted them, but the timing is awfully suspicious.
Why story are you making up? I can give your story a little spice. The weekend after Huawei CFO bail meeting, the defense minister and foreign ministers of US and Canada meet at DC. And the Canadian government wants to make the detention as a financial fraud case. Now you know why so many Chinese companies want to boycott Apple products. It is the US and Canada making the case a national security matter, But the court said it is related to the Iranian sanctions.

All the posts before mine, none have mentioned the Iran sanction.

  • Foxconn mulls Vietnam move for iPhone production to avoid effects of U.S. tariffs

Even after moving to Vietnam this will not help the President's goal of reducing trade deficits. It is just shifting trade deficit to a different country.

  • Fears about continued sales growth of iPhone mount, while praise heaped on Services

It seems majority of posters agree that raising iPhone prices will hurt sales. Can they agree that raising tariffs will hurt production? What is production? Production is GDP. This is economics 101. Lower GDP will hurt people's ability of buying. When people have less money they will seek cheaper products.
