  • Talks 'nearly finalized' for AirPlay 2 compatibility on Roku streamers

This is great news. I have to Roku Ultras that I really like. This feature would make them even better.

  • DirecTV Now gains 'TV' sync, single sign-on & live tune-in on Apple TV

The app is still horrible and these minor improvements are like ice cubes chipped off of a giant iceberg. There's still no way to see what you have created a series recording for. It still records shows that aren't set to be recorded. Looking at the info for a show takes several clicks. Fast forwarding is still a guessing game.

The list goes on and they're barely doing anything to improve it and the improvements have been in all the wrong places.

  • Fitbit challenging Apple Watch with $160 Versa Lite smartwatch, new Inspire & Ace 2 fitnes...

My wife and I both have Versa SE (with NFC payments). They do exactly what we want them to do and nothing more. I bought two for what one Apple Watch Series 3 would cost. I don't really care that it doesn't have GPS. I take my phone with me when I exercise, so I'm fine with the Versa using the GPS on my phone...which has a much stronger battery. When you run with an Apple Watch and have your phone with you, it uses the iPhone GPS and there's no way to prevent it from using the GPS on the phone unless you shut off GPS on your phone.

I'm sure the Apple Watch is really great for some people. For people like me, it's overkill.
Get one with LTE + GPS and you won't have to worry about a big, heavy, bulky iPhone bouncing around in your pocket or strapped to your arm.
Right. All I'd have to worry about is less battery.

    No thanks.

I have the XS Max. Get the right case and it won't flop around or be too heavy. If a 7 ounce phone is too heavy for your arm, you probably need more weight time than road time. :)

  • Showdown: Samsung Galaxy Buds versus AirPods and the rumored AirPods 2

Let's not give these AirPod wannabes any attention. This is what made people think androids were real iPhones.
I'm really happy that Apple Insider doesn't listen to you. While the AirPods might be perfect for some, they aren't for others. With the 2-hour talk time, they are pretty much worthless for people who use their phone to...you know...talk.

Everyone should be happy that many companies have entered this market. Competition creates innovation.

Oh please the "competition creates innovation" meme has been disproven all the time.
If it's been proven so many times, I'd love to see your source on that.
