  • Apparent iOS 12 beta bug causes never-ending notifications to update software

Found out a solution for that as Mr.Rambo said its a time caliculating bug. We have to decide between two annoying things. The irritating screen popup or clear our call list and change the date back a few days. It worked for me on my 6s and iPhone X  Check if it works on your devices.
I did this but went one step further and restored the time back to the correct date. Worked. Big has gone away.
I tried this and it didn’t work. Strangely, the backlighting turned itself off when I changed the date back. I locked and unlocked, didn’t see the notification anymore (and the backlighting came back). Then set the time back to now and the notifications came back with every unlock or Notification Center view. Bummer of a bug!

Are people here in the beta program that have nothing to do with actually testing it?

It’s “Beta”.  The “B” might as well stand for “Bugs”.  Why is this even being reported on?  Slow day?
Are you actually in software development?? I’ve been doing it for decades, and the field-update mechanism of a product is something you want to really nail early. It’s the one thing that, if it becomes inoperable, leads to a complete support meltdown. The fact that it’s buggy 12 days before go-live and for a product where Apple actively encourages non-developers to try it *IS* a little scary, and definitely newsworthy.

  • First look: Apple's 2018 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

I’ve been a Touchbar MacBook Pro owner since they came out, and can’t wait for the refresh when Apple admits the Touchbar concept was a failed experiment. It’s so bad. The only time I ever use the Touchbar intentionally is to change the volume, but I’m accidentally activating things all the time and really miss physical function keys. Does anyone actually find that thing useful??

  • Apple TV gets Dolby Atmos support, 'zero sign-on' for cable with tvOS 12

Who has f*ckin Charter man. Pay Comcast’s price - the Apple TV is nothing until it uses actual cable piped into 50% of Americans  homes.

Don't agree with the rest of your post, but yeah, the launch partners are a little underwhelming. Here in Switzerland I don't know anyone with Salt. I guess the bit players were willing to strike a deal quick to get some free product placement for the launch announcement, but I have to imagine that Apple actually wants to sell a product and will include the major cable players when it actually gets to consumers.

  • Apple has 'moral obligation' to promote free expression in China, U.S. Senator says

The Senator is talking about the same China that Congress granted Most Favored Nation Status for trade policy?
