Apple to pay $18M to settle dispute over FaceTime fiasco
We've heard of patent trolls before, but it seems as if there are certain law firms that do nothing else besides mostly suing large tech companies, including Apple.
I don't know if they're still involved, but the law firm that was initially involved in this case seems to have made a nice business out of suing Apple.
They've already scored more than a billion dollars in verdicts against Apple.
Five years later, it’s safe to say Caldwell Cassady & Curry is giving the bank’s other big clients a run for their money. In the first few years of the Dallas firm’s existence, the lawyers have scored more than $1 billion in patent infringement verdicts against Apple alone.

Compared: 2017 iPad Pro versus 2020 iPad Pro

If you say 'slightly' smaller iPad. Would you recommend the 12.9 for those cases as the size difference is not that big?
The 12.9 would also be the replacement of my macbook pro (mid 2012). So that's also a reason why I'm not sure whether the 11.0 is big enough for me.
So complicated...
Andy
It's not so much the size difference, but there is also a weight difference between the two.
We're talking about around 1 pound VS 1.4 Pounds.
That might not sound like a lot, but the 12.9" weighs almost 40% more than the 11".
I currently have a 10.5" iPad Pro too, but I kind of like the 12.9" size after seeing it in person, and that's probably what I'm going to choose as my next iPad next time around, but I don't go around carrying my iPads too much and I don't hold the iPads too much with my hands when using them. I usually have them on a stand on a table in front of me even when using them.
If somebody is used to holding their iPads often when using them, then the weight of the 12.9" might make a difference to them. I can imagine that using the 11" lying in bed is a lot easier and more comfortable than holding the 12.9" while lying in bed for example.

I can recommend one upgrade to everybody who currently has a 10.5 Pro, if they don't already have what I'm about to suggest.
Buy a USB C charger and a good MFI approved USB C - Lightning Cable.
The 10.5 iPad Pro never came with a USB C charger and getting one will drastically speed up your charging times.
If you're playing a heavy duty game or doing something else that drains the battery quickly, then having the USB C charger will mean that you wont have to worry about your battery running low or depleting too quickly anymore.
I've been using a GaN charger which is super tiny for a while now, and I never worry about my battery life anymore, because I can have the iPad Pro fully charged in no time at all. The one I am using is a 29 Watt GaN charger from Ravpower, but multiple brands make those kinds of chargers now.
That wouldn't be the case if I was still using the regular 12 watt Apple charger.
And especially on a machine where the battery might be a few years old already, having that fast charger makes a difference. -

Is that confirmed to be every new iPad Pro? I thought it was only the model with maximum storage.
Supposedly, every model of this new iPad Pro has 6 GB RAM.
