  • Apple's failed 'Project Titan' was a Full Self Driving gamble

I do not understand why everyone is so upset about the cancellation of Project Titan. The pullback of the automotive industry away from EV vehicles, due to lack of infrastructure to support them is one factor. The hope of having FSD mode in an automobile has proven to be a harder problem to solve than previously thought.

“Failure” is many times the best path to success. Not every project that Apple embarks upon results in a new product that is successful. We know for a fact that there have been many projects at Apple that have never seen the light of day. There are also products that had very limited markets, and were discontinued.

Thomas Edison said that invention is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. It takes a lot of work to make a product come from nothing to reality. It turns out that Project Titan may have had great inspiration but still needed a lot of work before it could ever become viable product for Apple.

  • Apple Vision Pro review roundup: an experience that weighs on you

In 2007 I purchased and then returned the original iPhone for several reasons. First, there were only the Apple built-in apps and secondly, and more importantly, the Edge data serving from AT&T was too slow to be useful.  It wasn’t until 2008 when 3G data service and third-party apps were available that I purchased my first iPhone 3G.

This is first generation device which os still being worked on and is basically a public beta of the technology. If it was in the $1500 price range I might get one, but at $3500 + AppleCare + Zeiss Lenses it is out of reach for me.

  • Apple is restoring Mac users that were banned after using Beeper on iPhone

I’m going to keep asking why the Beeper folks haven’t been arrested for hacking the iMessage system. I guess hacking s company’s systems is OK as long as it is Apple.

Why isn’t the DOJ going after Beeper? Maybe it is to show that Apple is big, bad company for denying Android users blue bubble status.

  • After years off Apple's App Store, 'Fortnite' will reappear in the EU

The “Epic A-Hole” cause the removal of Fortnite in the first place and proved that Epic doesn’t care about their iOS or Apple customers. It was said that Apple accounted for only 7% of Fortnite income and was therefore only a minor loss for the company.

Tim Sweeney is only interested in getting more money out of his customers. His fight for an Epic Store will show just how greedy he really is. I suspect that within a month of it being available there will be significant complaints and issues with Fortnite and any other game Epic releases through its store.
