I seem to remember some years ago Apple was trying to move off of outside storage and bring everything in house.

    Not their code speciality.

  • One-year Apple TV+ trial offer getting cut down to three months

I’ve had the free trail for 6-9 months and I’ve watched one movie one it. Netflix and Hulu just kill appletv. It’s like Apples gaming pushes with the ATV over the years, useless.
Your opinion is duly made and duly noted. I have Apple Arcade and it's selection is not fabulous but it can keep me entertained from time to time.

I think you meant "Apple TV+" when you said "appletv." What content on Netflix do you like? Hulu isn't available outside of the US so it can't be of any use to me or to 96% of the world's population. Apple TV+ has optional in-app services which are not bad, did you try any of them? You don't like Paramount+? It has a large collection of media and will be expanding to movies this year, I believe.
Netflix has vastly more content, but Apple TV has enough to justify $5 a month. If it every bores me I will stop it for a month. I do that with the music.

I hope Safari will support an option to render tabs the way they are now.
Adapt or move on to something else.
As if these things are so binary.
Krupps a weird man. He’s an Apple ideologue not a normal consumer. Any minor complaint and he’s extremely defensive. People can’t be fans of Apple and dislike the odd thing, that’s what “haters” do.

Also pretty sure that he’s the passive aggressive poster using the informative button as a disagree button.

He’s the caricature of the Apple diehard fan that is ridiculed outside of the Apple world but rarely exists anymore inside it. Thank the lord.

I hope the tab system in Monterey's Safari is something that can be turned off in favor of proper tabs.

The thinking behind this reflects the processes of a mobile OS - not a desktop.
I think I will be using the group tabs more, and hide that.

For Safari updates I hope they improve the ability to find tabs generating audio across multiple windows - it's a nightmare today.
Better still - stop randomly playing videos - especially when opening Safari and restoring windows from your previous browsing session.

Not sure I'm crazy about the new tab interface re: the blending of UI elements.  It's already way harder than it should be to grab a window to move it around.   The improvements on iOS do look pretty significant and cool.
Doesn't Safari put a little speaker at the side of tabs playing video/music?
    It does.

For me there wasn't much here. Automation maybe, I'lll have to see how that pans out.

The iPad/MacOS emphasis seems odd to me.

You would think that Apple users, including myself, have 2 out of 3, of the main devices. A Mac and an iPhone, or an iPad and an iPhone, if you don't need a Mac. I have had all three before but it was fairly pointless. My MacBook 13" is portable enough to take anywhere I need. For mobile, rather than portable, devices there is a large screen iPhone.

Yet Apple is spending a lot of energy promoting the iPad as a content creator, rather than a content consumer, Maybe they know their market.

I don't have an iPad so when I download Monterrey Ill see the safari tab, and might use some of the shortcuts. That will be it for me.
