    Yes, a surprising article with some muddled logic (“locker room talk”? Huh?). And the tone is a bit dismissive of Apple’s recent troubles with the i9 processor. (“Non-engineer YouTubers”) Example: In another story published by AI, Apple actually worked with the “non-engineer” to apparently resolve the issue. 

    Most AI readers don’t really care about Samsung, Microsoft, etc. offerings, so why the paranoia? Is it to stifle legitimate criticism by AI readers on Apple? Methinks so. 

    And lastly, where is the updated Mac Mini? Cook promised and update. “It’s in our future” Remember. Which future?

    When does "pretty soon" arrive?
    Well, it starts right now for me, an owner of a 2011 Mac Mini. What do you suggest I do? Buy a 2014 Mac Mini, which is marginally better than the 2011 version and has seen no updates since then? And please don’t suggest I buy an iMac or MacBook Pro!! I just bought an iPad Pro 12.9” version. Apple kind of gave me the warm and fuzzies about the iPad Pro as an actual working device. And so far it’s been great. But they refuse to open it up to more features found in desktops, hence the Mac Mini as a stop gap companion. Apple said the Mac Mini was in “their future”. Whose future? I can’t run the new version of Pixelmator without Metal!! I’m skewered!!!

    I bought the iP 8plus in the fall. Like many potential buyers, I thought long and hard about the X. Also, went back and forth. In the end I just know the “notch” would of driven me nuts. Face ID? Not interested. Glad I got the 8plus.

    Nice article, and I applaud AI for finally, finally broaching the topic. If any staff at AI actually get a one-on-one with Cook, please, please try and pin him down with more than the the MM is “in our future.” C’mon, I’ve been an Apple fan for decades but why can’t you update the MM. Give us something, anything! This is getting ridiculous!
