  • Apple Vision Pro $3,499 mixed-reality headset launches at WWDC after years of rumors

This is the Apple Vision Pro.  That suggests that a somewhat simpler and cheaper Apple
    Vision headset is due sometime.

I’m not sure what price point they have to hit before I think it’s reasonable.

Maybe someone already mentioned this - but there are a lot of comments.

I think the features look pretty fantastic. I also can’t believe I was wrong about the price. I didn’t think they would try and sell it for as much as $3000.  I was certain about that. Not a customer at this price.

I'd like to see the leakers' sources thrown out of where they work and those reporting the leaks blackballed.  I am perfectly happy to wait until Apple announces a product.  Leakers, and blogs that focus on them for clicks and fame are pretty pathetic IMHO.

Hypothetically speaking, imagine a visitor to AppleInsider since 2006 who has posted over 19k times.  What do you say about people with that level of dedication to reading leaks and the blogs that focus on them?   :D

The statement by Russia probably has several purposes. One that should not be overlooked is a two pronged attempt to reduce the number of Apple products sold in Russia and to undermine Apple's reputation with their population.
It's funny tho. Apple does not sell anything in Russia or make any business in Russia.
That’s not true. Apple isn’t selling directly but the products are still widely available through resellers who bring them in from nearby countries.

Even before Apple had direct sales but had authorized resellers, there were a lot of gray-market Macs due to the very high import duties and VAT.  I don’t know what VAT is now but it was 29% in the 90’s.

After this gizmodo.com/apple-iphone-ipad-privacy-problems-data-gathering-1849855092/slides/8 can Apple be trusted with any representation of privacy ... ?

Actually, that slide indicates that Apple is not sharing our information with advertisers but is instead aggregating user information to provide the advertiser with useful information without sharing the details.

That may still be more than you are willing to share, but it isn't a scandal.  I figured this out using an age-old technique called "reading."
