Google is violating Apple's iPhone app privacy rules the same way Facebook did [u: disable...
wood1208 said:Apple, you are business and while holding privacy Ethics torch, at the end of day you are a business to make money for shareholders and employees. Stop this die-hard privacy triumph. Most people outside USA(may be some Europeans) don't even care privacy long as you sell your products and services cheap. Sorry, Money talks, walks, and everything else for most people in world...How many people on Apple products related websites like Apple-insider,9to5Mac,MacRumers,etc come and say give me privacy at any cost ? Most say, Apple products are expensive even thought they like to own. -

New MacBook Air threatens both MacBook and MacBook Pro with Function Keys
As a current MacBook user, I'd choose it over the Air again if: they get a similar processor, the MacBook gets TouchID or FaceID, the third gen keyboard or later, and maybe if they dropped the price. I mainly use Office and the like for writing and am out and about a lot with books and the like. The smaller form factor and weight is a big deal for me but the lower specs and higher price as at present mean I'd wait to see what Apple plan to do before making any change. -
Apple unveils all new 13-inch MacBook Air with Retina display, Thunderbolt 3 and more
So if I were in the market for a new MacBook and iMac (which I kind of am), what should I do after today? Presumably the iMac will get a spec bump but not this year, so when? Will the desktop systems have touchID added to the bundled keyboard (seems unlikely) or will they add FaceID? And what of the laptop. At present it seems I can pay a bit more for a smaller, lighter form factor with more storage, but otherwise lower specs and no TouchID. Does anyone expect the MacBook to get a speed bump and TouchID or FaceID soon? Or do you think it will be left to wither on the vine with gradual price drops, as used to happen to the Air? -

Another weird thing, maybe an error on the UK site as they update it: but on the University store, which I use, the new Macbook Air image is showing and begins at £854.40, while the Macbook starts at £1124.40. Now I don't need the extra ports and prefer the lighter weight, but that price differential is nuts.
Apologies...it's slightly misleading. Education Store shows new Macbook Air image and says starts at £854.40, but clicking through that is for the old model. It's £1078.80 for entry level new Air.
