The A06 (106) has all the same speeds except it can burn DVD+R and DVD+RW media. Which is great except currently Mac OS X can't handle burning + formats. -

Haven't heard anything yet because this drive is so new. Here are a few links that might help you out. DVR-A06/106 Burn Support for OS X 10.2.6 / iTunes 4 XLR8 Drive Compatibility Database Already puchased one so I'll keep you posted if you like. -

I had one and took it back, I had a number of problems with it, it's worth you knowing that it's a Sony drive inside, not the "Apple-friendlier" Pioneer 106 - which I would recommend you look for. -
