I think the problem is more with training the Staples store employees. I have been twice to a Staples and both times the person at the register didn't know what to do. They didn't even know what the hell Apple Pay was let alone how it was suppose to work.

I'm surprised anybody still shops at Staples.  They make every step of the transaction much more painful and difficult than it needs to be, it's like a bureaucratic circus!

Each time that I have used it at Staples, the employee has told me that it won't work, but it has worked every time and they are amazed. Better and/or more employee training is what is needed.
